Accelerated TMS at The Insync Brain
Finding the right treatment can feel overwhelming, especially when you are hoping for something that fits your schedule and provides a steady, structured path forward. Accelerated TMS (Transcranial Magnetic Stimulation) offers a way to complete a full course of TMS in a shorter period of time while still receiving the same level of care, support, and daily monitoring you would expect from a longer treatment program. Our goal is to make each day feel calm, organized, and supportive so you always know what to expect and never feel rushed through the process.

What is Accelerated TMS?
Accelerated TMS is a form of transcranial magnetic stimulation delivered on a condensed schedule. Instead of daily treatment over several weeks, multiple sessions are delivered each day so the full course of care can be completed in a shorter period of time.
Sessions are brief and non-invasive, and patients complete multiple sessions per day with planned breaks in between. This approach allows the brain time to rest while moving through treatment more efficiently. Accelerated TMS is designed to balance effectiveness with comfort, monitoring how each person responds along the way.
Who is eligible?
Accelerated TMS may be an option for adults who:
- Are 18 or older
- Can commit to being in the clinic for several hours a day
- Prefer a shorter treatment timeline
- Are able to take breaks between sessions
- Are seeking non-medication options
You will also be screened for safety before starting treatment. This includes seizure risk, metal implants, a history of bipolar or schizophrenia, and other factors that help us ensure that treatment is safe and appropriate.
Because accelerated TMS is self-pay, insurance requirements such as prior medication trials do not apply.
What to expect during treatment
Treatment days move at a comfortable pace. While each session is short, there is time to rest between them to decrease overstimulation and allow any mild side effects to settle.
Your care team includes:

A psychiatrist who completes your initial consultation, reviews your qEEG, and meets with you again after the program or as indicated

A trained neurotechnician who administers all daily sessions and checks in with you regularly

A small, friendly team that provides support, monitoring, and guidance throughout the entire process
Side effects and safety
Accelerated TMS is non-invasive and does not require medication or anesthesia. Side effects are generally mild and temporary. These may include:
- Scalp discomfort
- Fatigue
- Headache
- Temporary sensitivity at the treatment site
Our team monitors you throughout each day. If you experience any discomfort, we adjust your protocol and implement supportive strategies to help keep you comfortable.
How Accelerated TMS differs from Standard TMS
Standard TMS
One session per day over 6-7 weeks
2 antidepressant trials of different classes are required, as well as psychotherapy
Accelerated TMS
Multiple short sessions each day for one week
No medication or psychotherapy trials are required
Both use magnetic stimulation to target the same brain region, but accelerated TMS condenses the schedule into a much shorter timeline. This format requires more time in the clinic each day but allows many people to complete their full course of treatment within one week.
Accelerated TMS is a high-frequency protocol. It is not personalized the way MeRT® is, but the qEEG helps us understand whether this type of stimulation is a good match for your brain.
Cost and payment information
Accelerated TMS is a self-pay service. Insurance does not cover this treatment protocol. During your consultation, we provide a clear cost breakdown and answer any questions so you can make an informed decision.
